妙心寺為臺灣文化的傳承,典藏地方文獻,收藏與先民生活攸關的資料及佛教相關史料,並提供研究。
所收字畫有:僧俗與佛教相關,或在地,或中、日留寓臺灣文人、藝術家的書畫。
已經列入臺灣文獻之史料,如宗教團體臺帳、戰時災害危害證明書、戰後留 日臺胞聲請登記證明書,及清朝書院科舉在臺考試的考試卷、日治時期的契約書、覺書、委託書、舊照片等。
至於臺灣文學方面,則收有臺灣詩報、臺灣詩壇、臺灣公論、臺灣日日新報與臺籍詩人的詩文集等。

Yu Wen Museum in Miao Hsin Temple
To preserveTaiwanese culture, Yu Wen Museum in Miao Hsin Temple collects local literature, documentations of the lives of earlier generations of Taiwanese, as well as historical documents regarding Buddhism. The collections are available for scholars’ research projects.
The musem's collected calligraphies and paintings include those related to Buddhism,the work of monks and laymen, and works by local, Chinese, and Japanese writersand artists residing in Taiwan.
There are historical documents now included as official literature of Taiwan. Examples include accounting records of religious organizations,a certificate ofdamage due to wartime disaster,verification of the application for the registration of a post-war Taiwanese resident in Japan, an examination paper from the Ching Dynasty Imperial Academy civil service examinations conducted in Taiwan, contracts, declarations,memorandums, trusts, and old photos during the Japanese occupation.
Additional Taiwanese literature include the Taiwan Poem Newspaper, the TaiwanPoets Forum, the Taiwan Tribune, the Taiwan Daily New Newspaper, the Taiwanese Poet's Prose Collection, and so on.
